Hannah Sunderani's Vegan Grilled Cheese
Hannah Sunderani's recipe for a quick grilled cheese sandwich made with vegan mozzarella on sourdough.
- 4 tsp vegan butter or coconut oil
- 2 slices sourdough bread
- ⅛ tsp sea salt divided
- ¼ cup vegan mozzarella
- pinch pepper
Spread butter over each side of bread slices; sprinkle with one pinch salt.
In large skillet, cook bread over medium heat, flipping until golden. Spread mozzarella over one slice; sprinkle with pepper and remaining salt, then top with remaining bread.
Cook sandwich, flipping occasionally, until cheese is hot.
