In a small saucepan, combine the apple cider and maple syrup and heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until hot. Stir in the whisky and pour into mugs.
Garnish with a cinnamon stick and a dried apple ring. Serve steaming hot.
Notes
For a non-alcoholic option, replace bourbon with extra cider and add a splash of fresh lemon juice.
