If there’s an official flavour of October, it has to be pumpkin spice. Forget about spending a fortune on a Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte, you can make an even better latte at home. This recipe includes real pumpkin purée, with the added sweetness of honey and a touch pure vanilla extract for a decadent treat. We recommend you make your own pumpkin pie spice with our easy pumpkin pie spice recipe. Homemade pumpkin pie spice always tastes better than storebought!
This recipe calls for using Zwilling’s Enfinigy Milk Frother, but you can also use a handheld immersion blender.
Fresh pumpkin puree is available at farmers markets or delicatessens. Alternatively, you can easily make it yourself. Cut the flesh of a sugar pumpkin into small pieces, boil and purée finely with some cooking water. If necessary, pass through a sieve.
Pumpkin Spice Latte
Real pumpkin puree, honey and a touch of vanilla will help make your PSL taste better than Starbucks!
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp fine pumpkin puree
- 200 ml milk or plant milk
- 1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
- 1 tbsp liquid honey or agave syrup
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 50 ml double espresso or strong coffee
Instructions
- Pour the pumpkin puree into the container of the ZWILLING ENFINIGY Milk Frother with the milk and stir. Add the pumpkin spice, honey and vanilla extract. Start the programme for warm milk froth. In the meantime, prepare the espresso or coffee.
- Pour the frothed milk into a glass, carefully add the espresso or coffee so that the layers do not mix. Enjoy immediately.
