Job Description:
We’re seeking a creative and strategic Social Media Content Creator with a love for food and a talent for visual storytelling to help our team. You’ll be responsible for crafting engaging social content that showcases our brand’s unique perspective, attracts new followers, inspires our community of food lovers, and drives website visits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Content Creation: Develop, design, and produce visually compelling content, including photos, videos, Reels, and Stories, that aligns with our brand’s aesthetic and voice.
- Work with the content director to execute the social media content strategy to build awareness of ELLE Gourmet, grow our owned audiences across Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, X, TikTok and Pinterest and support business goals.
- Content Planning & Strategy: Collaborate with the content team to build a content calendar that works across digital stories and social channels, leveraging food trends, holidays, culinary travel, chefs and ingredients to drive engagement and follower growth.
- Community Engagement: Actively engage with followers, respond to comments, and monitor messages to foster a strong community connection.
- Upload content for website: Upload content to wordpress website, formatting to H1, H2, articles, recipes, and re-sizing images.
- Analytics & Insights: Track and analyze performance metrics to optimize content and make data-driven improvements to reach growth goals.
- Brand Consistency: Ensure all posts and visual elements reflect our brand values, messaging, and quality standards.
- Trend Research: Stay updated on social media trends, meta’s algorithm changes, TikTok and popular formats to ensure our content stays fresh and relevant.
Requirements:
- Proven Experience: 2+ years in social media content creation for food, lifestyle, or similar brands, with a strong portfolio of Instagram and TikTok content.
- Photography/Videography Skills: Ability to produce high-quality, visually appealing food content, lifestyle content (including travel, events) with editing skills.
- Creativity: Passion for food and a keen eye for visual storytelling; capable of finding innovative ways to present content across social media.
- Understanding of Social Media Best Practices: Knowledge of Meta’s algorithms, growth tactics, and content formats (Reels, Stories, etc.).
- Analytics Knowledge: Proficiency with analytics tools like Instagram Insights to track performance and report on KPIs.
- Excellent Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with editing tools: (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, INDD and Photoshop).
- Familiarity with other social media platforms, including Pinterest, and working knowledge of wordpress is an asset.
- Knowledge of SEO and digital marketing trends.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines.

We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable SEO Specialist to elevate our organic search strategy and ensure our content reaches and engages our Canadian audience. We’re looking for an experienced SEO Specialist who has a strong understanding of the food and travel niche. You’ll be responsible for optimizing our digital content to boost visibility in search engines, drive traffic, and enhance user engagement. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring our website ranks highly for relevant culinary and travel-related keywords.
Key Responsibilities:
- SEO Strategy Development: Design and execute SEO strategies specific to the culinary travel industry, focusing on both on-page and off-page tactics.
- Keyword Research: Identify high-impact keywords related to food, cuisine, and travel trends to guide content planning and optimization efforts.
- Content Optimization: Work closely with content creators and content calender to optimize articles, guides, and videos for SEO, ensuring alignment with user search intent and our brand voice. Upload content, including H1, H2, and images.
- Technical SEO: Perform regular site audits, optimize site speed, improve mobile usability, and address technical issues to enhance site performance.

- Competitive Analysis: Monitor competitor websites in the food and travel sector, identifying opportunities and gaps to refine our approach.
- Stay Current: Keep up with SEO trends, Google algorithm updates, and industry best practices, ensuring we stay ahead of the curve.
Requirements:
- Experience: 2-4 years of experience in SEO, preferably in the food, travel, or lifestyle sectors.
- Content Knowledge: Familiarity with the language and trends of the culinary and travel world; experience optimizing content like travel guides, food reviews, and restaurant features.
- SEO Tools Expertise: Proficient with SEO tools such as Google Analytics, Search Console, SEMrush, and Screaming Frog.
- Technical Skills: Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and experience with content management systems (e.g., WordPress).
- Analytical Mindset: Strong data analysis skills to evaluate campaign performance and suggest data-driven optimizations.
- Passion for Food & Travel: A deep appreciation for global cuisines, travel experiences, and culinary culture.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with schema markup, rich snippets, and image optimization (especially for food, restaurant and travel photography ).
- Knowledge of social media and its impact on SEO.
