Emily in Paris isn’t just a showcase for fashion — it also makes food culture aspirational and accessible. From historic cafés to Michelin-starred dining rooms, the series has helped turn French (and now Italian) cuisine into a lifestyle fantasy fans want to taste for themselves. To celebrate the highly anticipated Season 5 release, we’ve rounded up some of our favourite Paris spots that have officially been inducted into the Emily in Paris universe.
But there’s one Emily in Paris café that only existed for a single night — and it wasn’t in Paris.

To mark the new season of Emily in Paris, a Boursin Bistro pop-up took over Café Renée in downtown Toronto. The transformation was pure magic: custom Boursin Bistro awnings, a white Vespa parked out front with a picnic hamper overflowing with Emily in Paris–branded Boursin boxes and a softly glowing Christmas tree dusted with (real) falling snow. Inside, guests sipped cocktails like The Mindy Martini and The Camille 75, listened to live jazz, and grazed on cheese boards featuring Boursin favourites — including the new Truffle Salt Boursin.

This beloved neighbourhood Italian bistro serves as Gabriel’s restaurant throughout multiple seasons — first as Les Deux Compères, and later reimagined as L’Esprit de Gigi in Season 4.

La Boulangerie Moderne saw a surge in popularity after its cameo on Emily in Paris, where Emily hilariously learns to pronounce “pain au chocolat” correctly. Helmed by chef Thierry Rabineau, the bakery is celebrated for its viennoiseries and earned 2nd place in the 2023 “Best Croissant in Paris” competition.

3. Café de Flore

A cornerstone of Saint-Germain-des-Prés, this 130-year-old café is steeped in literary history. Emily and Mindy are seen there savouring buttery croissants coffee, though the show omits its signature Café de Flore branding.

A Paris staple facing the Louvre, Café Marly combines elegant brasserie fare with one of the city’s most breathtaking backdrops. Featured in Season 2 as the spot where Emily and friends dine with views of the Louvre’s glass pyramid. A perfect example of how the series ties iconic Parisian settings to memorable meals.

5. La Maison Rose

Already Instagram-famous for its blush-pink façade and storybook charm, this Montmartre icon makes a fitting cameo in the series. This charming café‑restaurant blends French and Italian influences with seasonal, locally sourced ingredients.

6. Café Lapérouse Concorde

In season 4, episode 3, Emily samples alcohol-free wine at this glamorous restaurant overlooking Place de la Concorde. The menu leans unapologetically classic — think caviar, foie gras, and fine wine. And no, despite the scene, alcohol-free wine doesn’t appear on the real-life menu (at least, for now).

7. Le Train Blue

It comes as no surprise when Emily is overwhelmed by the opulence of Le Train Bleu upon entering in Season 5. A Belle Époque masterpiece inside Paris’s Gare de Lyon, it’s as famous for its spectacular murals, gilded ceilings, and over-the-top décor as for its classic French cuisine. Originally named “Buffet de la Gare de Lyon”, it was built to impress international visitors arriving and departing by train. The 41 murals were painted by prominent artists to showcase France’s grandeur during the 1900 World’s Fair. Signature dishes include côte de veau, saucisson en brioche, and indulgent desserts like baba au rhum and theatrical crêpes suzette, making every meal feel like a step back into Paris’s golden age.
