Food-inspired fashion pieces for Fall 2023

Grocery Girl Fall has officially arrived.

Foodie fashionistas, rejoice: this summer’s viral Grocery Girl trend is still it.

For the uninitiated, the Grocery Girl aesthetic took off on TikTok this summer, with fruit- and vegetable-inspired clothing and home decor items making the rounds on social media. The vibes are “at the farmer’s market” chic, with flowy fabrics, bright patterns and fruit patterns in the spotlight. Initially a summer trend, the aesthetic seems poised to keep trending into Fall, with food-forward looks popping up on autumn’s runways and selling out online.

From Danish designer Henrik Vibskov’s new tomato-inspired collection to the recent Balmain and Evian collab, we’ve assembled some of our favourite garments for gourmands to rock this chilly season.

Henrik Vibskov Tomato Can Dress

Danish designer Henrik Vibskov is one of the couture world’s more well-known foodies – and his new ready-to-wear line pays tribute to the all-powerful tomato. The print appears on a range of garments, including this flowy pleated dress that’s perfect for fall.

This one is for the sweet-toothed fashionistas: Bode’s loose-fitting cotton button-up sports embroidered desserts, including a chocolate layer cake, bundt cake and even a red gelatin dessert on the back. Snag the matching shorts for a fully co-ordinated look.
