Flu-Fighter Citrus and Ginger Shot

Citrus, ginger and turmeric deliver a boost of Vitamin C.

Canadian holistic nutritionist Meredith Youngson makes superfood-filled drink mixes at Lake & Oak Tea Co. Her first cookbook, Super Tonics: 75 Adaptogen-Packed Recipes for Sleep, Beauty, and Wellness is a volume of elixirs loaded with adaptogens, superfoods and herbs – all tailored to promote health and wellness while tasting and looking beautiful.

This recipe for a Flu-Fighter Shot will come in handy during flu season. “Freshly squeezed orange juice is kicked up with ginger and turmeric for antioxidants and immunity-revving power,” she writes. “Serve straight-up or dilute with sparkling water for a golden mocktail.”
