Spiced Grapefruit ‘Detox’ Margarita

Meredith Youngson's citrus-forward Margarita cocktail delivers a boozy hit of antioxidants.

It seems incongruous that this cocktail has ‘health benefits’, but just wait until you try it. So says Meredith Youngson in her upcoming book Super Tonics: 75 Adaptogen-Packed Recipes for Sleep, Beauty, and Wellness (out April 11): “The words ‘detox’ and ‘Margarita’ likely don’t belong in the same sentence, but I’m all for poking a little fun at the wild world of wellness.” She adds: “This vibrant Margarita brings the sweet heat with freshly squeezed citrus and a little heat from cayenne (if you dare). Instead of a standard salted rim, I like a pinch of pink salt to emphasize the other flavours.”
