Ultra-luxury meets discovery with Scenic

Experience adventure without limits on a Scenic Eclipse Expedition Voyage.

Imagine taking an adventure to explore the farthest corners of the world – and doing so in unparalleled 6-star-style. This is a journey where you travel on a custom-designed, world-class ultra-luxury yacht that has been purpose-built with a Polar Class 6 rating and has state-of-the-art technology specifically for expedition cruising to remote locations (including stabilizers for rough seas). It’s the kind of trip where you take part in curated, one-of-a-kind excursions, like standing ashore among penguins in the Antarctica Peninsula and witnessing humpback whales breach near the remote Balleny Islands, just north-west of the Ross Sea. And it’s a trip where, at the end of a day of Zodiac landing adventures, you can unwind at a Scandinavian-style spa, sip on a rare whisky at The Whisky Bar (one of nine luxuriously appointed bars and lounges on the yacht), then enjoy a meal at one of 10 gourmet dining experiences that cater to every taste preference and mood (including café-style dining and “by invitation only” degustation).

Now, imagine doing all of this, and even more, without ever having to take out your wallet. When you take a once-in-a-lifetime, all-inclusive Scenic Eclipse Expedition Voyage to Antarctica on the Scenic Eclipse II Discovery Yacht, this is exactly what happens – you’ll be experiencing industry leading environmental standards combined with world-class design, cutting-edge technology and, of course, Scenic’s world-class 6-star experience.

Scenic is committed to ensuring the protection of the special place that is Antarctica. Due to IAATO restricting site landings to only 100 people at a time, Scenic Eclipse yachts carry only 200 guests on board. This maximizes the opportunity for multiple daily immersive excursions and Zodiac landings, all expert-led by a knowledgeable Polar Discovery Team. In the winter, when these Polar Expedition Voyages take place, there are 18-20 hours of daylight in the Antarctic, which allows for plenty of remarkable experiences, including guided kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding against the dramatic landscape.

A carefully curated collection of spectacular Antarctica Expedition Voyages has been announced for the 2025/26 season. All these voyages sail through the otherworldly landscape of the South Pole on the new, luxurious Scenic Eclipse ll Discovery Yachts, one of only two ultra-luxury ships (the other ship is the Scenic Eclipse) able to travel to these rarely visited parts of the world. From the 13-day Antarctica in Depth experience to the 24-day Antarctica’s Ross Sea: Majestic Ice and Wildlife voyage, guests can do ‘Antarctica Your Way’.

For those who can’t wait to voyage to Antarctica until 2025, and who may also prefer a warm-weather offering, the Scenic Eclipse II also brings its truly all-inclusive, 6-star ultra-luxury cruising to the northernmost corner of Western Australia – the Kimberley region – where waterfalls, wildlife and ancient Aboriginal rock art are part of this little-known and staggeringly beautiful part of the world. This 11 to 21-day ultra-luxurious adventure of a lifetime takes guests to a part of the world that can only be compared in its wild beauty to the Antarctic.

In the Kimberley, beyond the untamed beaches and craggy cliffs are hundreds of thousands of kilometres of untouched landscape that can only be reached by air. Scenic has a dedicated flightseeing program that allows guests to be immersed in the raw beauty of this isolated area. Two Airbus H130-T2 helicopters on board the Scenic Eclipse II will transport guests to venture beyond where previously possible. From seeing wildlife havens and flora found nowhere else on earth, to witnessing preserved rock art depicting centuries of Aboriginal history, experiencing ground-breaking ocean voyage and land journey will create memories of a lifetime.

These expedition voyages are truly 6-star experiences in a class all their own.
