Beef Tenderloin With Peanut-Sesame Crust

ELLE Gourmet editorial director Erin McLaughlin shares a cherished memory made with the help of beef.

“AAA beef tenderloin roast.” That’s what I found in the meat aisle when I was looking for inspiration for the Easter lunch I was hosting, and it brought on a whirlwind of memories. Throughout my childhood, holiday meals were enjoyed with our entire extended family, and when it was my late mother’s turn to host, a premium beef tenderloin was usually the star. She also loved experimenting with new recipes, and I know she’d have wanted to try making this Beef Tenderloin With Peanut-Sesame Crust, which I opted for this year. She believed that the easiest way to make a meal memorable was to serve beef – and she was right. Erin McLaughlin, ELLE Gourmet editorial director
