
Hawthorn’s Dry Vodka Martini
Tucked into Calgary’s iconic Fairmont Palliser is the Hawthorn Dining Room & Bar, where dry martinis are stirred—never shaken—and made with premium vodka and just a whisper of vermouth. The timeless cocktail is garnished to taste with either a bright lemon twist or a rich blue-cheese-stuffed olive.
Ingredients
- Ice
- 1½ oz Wheatley Vodka
- ½ oz dry vermouth
- 1 blue-cheese-stuffed olive or lemon twist for garnish
Instructions
- In shaker half-filled with ice, combine vodka and vermouth, and stir.
- Strain into chilled martini glass and garnish with blue-cheese-stuffed olive or lemon twist.
