This vibrant green smoothie from Mandy Wolfe and Rebecca Wolfe’s popular cookbook More Mandy’s is an easy way to start the day. Blended with kale, avocado, frozen grapes, pear and plant-based milk, it’s creamy, refreshing and ready in just minutes. The sisters also recommend freezing ripe fruit that’s on the verge of turning – especially pears and grapes – for an even thicker, frostier smoothie.

Ultimate Green Smoothie
Ingredients
- 1 cup cashew or almond milk
- ½ cup frozen grapes
- ½ cup frozen pear chunks
- 1 banana
- ½ avocado
- 1 cup chopped kale or spinach
- ½ tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tbsp hemp hearts or flax seeds
Instructions
- Add the cashew milk, grapes, pear chunks, banana, avocado, kale, cinnamon and hemp hearts to your blender. Pulse for 5 to 8 seconds and then blend on medium for 20 to 30 seconds. Once smooth, pour into your smoothie cup and enjoy immediately.
Tips For Making The Best Green Smoothie
- Freeze overripe fruit
- Frozen pears and grapes create a naturally thick, creamy texture without watering the smoothie down with ice.
- Swap the greens
- Lacinato kale adds an earthy flavour, while spinach creates a milder smoothie. Either works beautifully.
- Make it more filling
- Add Greek yogurt, extra hemp hearts or a scoop of your favourite protein powder if you’d like a more substantial breakfast.
