Classic Frozen Pina Colada

Can you hear the waves?

On a hot day, what can be better than sipping on a icy drink? And what drink exemplifies summertime better than a classic frozen piña colada? This frozen pina colada recipe is super simple and comes together in 5 minutes. It also only includes five ingredients: white rum, coconut cream, pineapple juice, frozen pineapple and ice.

Simply place all your ingredients into the blender, and ta-da your cocktail is done! This is perfect for lounging poolside or hosting friends and family at home. For a virgin version, simply omit the white rum for an equally refreshing drink.

What is in a frozen piña colada?

This frozen pina colada recipe calls for white rum, coconut cream, pineapple juice, frozen pineapple and ice. Optionally, add a pineapple wedge on the edge of your glass as garnish for some extra pizzazz.

Is coconut cream or coconut milk better for piña colada?

Typically, a pina colada calls for coconut cream due to its thicker texture and rich flavour. In a frozen pina colada, using coconut milk would lead to a lighter flavour and thinner consistency. For this recipe, we recommend using coconut cream.
