The top three trends from the OOAK Spring Show

These stellar Canadian artisans are crafting everything from zero-proof drinks to protein-packed snacks.

Every Spring, the Enercare Centre in Toronto comes alive with hundreds of Canadian artisans and happy shoppers celebrating their craftsmanship. The One of A Kind Spring Show (OOAK Spring Show) always features an incredible selection of Canadian-made goods, from upcycled clothing to small-batch hot sauce.

The 2026 edition runs from April 9-12. This year, there are over 500 vendors and three new categories: the Zero-Proof Beverage section, the Garden section and even a Farmers’ Market pop-up. As we walked through the show, we noticed three food trends emerging and the must-see vendors that best exemplifi

1. Sober Celebrations: Zero-Proof Drinks on the Rise

New to the OOAK Spring Show is the Zero-Proof Beverage section, which aims to highlight “bold, creative non-alcoholic drinks that celebrate craftsmanship and mindful moments.” Canada’s non-alcoholic beverage market is expected to continue consistently growing, with more and more options for consumers to choose between. Here are two vendors you need to check out as you browse through this new OOAK Show category.

Ginny – All-Natural Adaptogen Drink

These non-alcoholic sparkling beverages promote wellbeing and relaxation with all-natural adaptogens, which are natural herbs and botanicals that promote wellbeing. Ginny draws upon the co-founder’s respective African and Asian heritage, featuring functional ingredients like ginseng, holy basil, goji berries and schisandra berries. There are currently two flavours: Blueberry Lavender Calamansi and Hibiscus Yuzu Ginger.

As the name suggests, the founder of Finally! Non-Alcoholic Cocktails stepped up to fill a niche in the growing zero-proof market. Their current lineup includes three flavours, Spicy Lime Margarita, Mojito and Paloma, which are all made in small batches in Ontario. And you can feel even better about sipping on this; 5% of profits support local mental health initiatives and 1% to the environment.

Also new to the OOAK Spring Show is the Garden section, which hopes to offer “a breath of fresh air” with a selection of florals, plant-inspired goods and garden-focused living. These Canadian vendors are making it easy for people to grow everything from seasonal flowers to seasonal produce right at home.

3. Edible Self-Care: Health and Wellness Products

At the CHFA NOW Health and Wellness Show in 2025, it was predicted that Canadians would be looking increasingly towards food that nourishes the mind as well as the body. This trend was evident at the OOAK Spring Show, where there were healthy and mindful offerings across multiple show sections. Here are three of our favourite vendors producing edible self-care.

Awareness around protein has really exploded in the past year, leading to innovative new products that feature this macronutrient as the star. Depending on which flavour you choose, each bag of SnackiPop‘s irresistible air-popped Ontario popcorn has at least 14g of protein. Choose between Zesty Habanero, Cinnamon Swirl and Cacio e Pepe.
